Puffin Marathon
Penmaenmawr sailing Club held their annual “Puffin Marathon” Open Race on Sunday the 22nd of September 2013. The race saw ten craft start the race from the Club House out to and around Puffin Island, to the Fairway marker and back to the club house. The almost three hour race in excellent sailing conditions was well contested with the different craft dealing with the conditions in their different ways.
1st Barney Broach and Alex Rogers – Flying Dutchman
2nd Stephan Clemments and Mark Knights – Laser V
3rd Phil Mack and Josh Mack – Hobie 16
4th Graham Rushton and Steve Widdingham Hobie T
5th Mike Robertshaw – Dart 15
6th Gerhard Weis – Laser R
7th Chris – Mirror
8th Tony Tansley – Versa

Junior Gold Cup Final Leg
Penmaenmawr Sailing Club held the final leg of their Junior Series racing on Sunday 22nd September, towards the “PSC YOUTH GOLD CUP”. The Sail For Gold Series is decided over a series of race days throughout the season, designed for the youth members under 16, with the overall winner taking the Gold Cup”. Sunday weather provided excellent sailing winds which provided a closely run races round a specially designed course off the club house.
Results on the day were:-
1st Dylan Williams and George Weis – Pico
2nd Sion Smith and Arthur Moss – Pico
3rd Ieuan Williams, Lewis Carlyle and David Moss – Pico
