Penmaenmawr Sailing Club opened its’ doors to the public at their Annual “Pen Sailing WaterFest” on Saturday the 10th of July. Members of the club hosted the day which was officially opened by Penmaenmawr Mayor and Mayoress of Penmaenmawr Cllr Harry Jones and his wife Alwena Jones who fired the Opening Cannon to get the day started. The annual event sets out to encourage non-sailors and fun seekers to experience supervised, safe sailing, and fun on the sea, and also to help to raise funds for the club which is totally run by members who are all volunteers.

Sailors and non-sailors braved the windy conditions to enjoy skimming over the waves on the banana boat rides, as well as experiencing Kayaking, Pico and Dart catamaran sailing and Speed Boat rides and windsurfing. On land, visitors enjoyed various raffles, Tombolas and Bottle Stalls as well as refreshments and face painting.
