Honorary Life President

Last night Bernard had a special (and safe) visit to honor his lifetimes work at Pen Sailing, with a ‘Presentation Letter’ from the Club Commodore and an ‘Engraved Plaque’ presented to Bernard on behalf of all the club members by Peter Lewis.

Honorary Life President

Bernard Carter joined PSC in 1964 so 2020 sees him having been a member for 56 years. Beginning as Safety Boat pilot, Bernard became a very competent dinghy racer during his early days at the club, very experienced at sailing Enterprises and Ospreys in particular. A Successful 2019 Open Day

The Commodore’s Press Report.

Penmaenmawr Sailing Club held their annual Open Day on Saturday the 6th July. The club opened its door to non-members and thrill seekers of all ages to experience the thrill of sailing.

Commodore, Gerry Frobisher, said “We enjoyed a full day of sailing with water based fun for all the family. Club members provided supervised sailing and refreshments throughout the day. Members and non-members some from as far as Penygroes and Warrington took part or just watched the activities during the day with volunteers helping to launch and land the various craft. The warm and breezy weather was a bonus and the sea conditions really made the day”.

The sailing club launched eight different craft including Picos, a Wayfarer and a catamaran as well as offering patrol boat rides.

The Season Starts Here!

The sailing season takes off at the Easter weekend, with a working party day on Saturday 20th April and if the masts are up and weather permitting some sailing on the Sunday and or Monday. Either way come down to see what’s happening, to give a hand, get your boat wet or for coffee and a chat. Happy Easter!
