3rd July Challenging Winds

Commodores Report
Penmaenmawr Sailing Club continued their Club Series Racing on Sunday the 3rd of July with another race in the series of season races which saw six craft take to the water. The course in the bay off Penmaenmawr took place in challenging winds which tested all the sailors’ racing skills.

2nd Stephen Clements and Mark Knights – Vago
3rd Dylan Williams – Laser R
4th Neil Shea and Carol Pye – Dart 15
5th Arty Moss and James Blair – Pico
6th Dai Moss and Danny Blair – Pico

Commodores Report

1, Three brothers take the honours in a recent Junior Gold Challenge series race held on Sunday the 6th of June, in the bay off Penmaenmawr Sailing Club and promenade. The Gold Challenge is over 10 races and the result of this race will help decide the overall Junior winner at the end of the season.  1st George Moss – Laser; 2nd Arty Moss – Topper; 3rd Dai Moss – Topper, 4th Danny Blair – Topper.

2,Penmaenmawr Sailing Club held their annual RNLI fundraising day on Sunday the 12th of June, and helped to raise £70.00 for the Conwy branch of the RNLI. The day saw activities several craft on the water and some water skiing and boarding.

PEN 2016 OPEN RACES, ALL WELCOME

June 12th – Sunday ~ R.N.L.I Trophy

Hi all, don’t forget the Annual R.N.L.I. Trophy Race. The trophy is the biggest Club Trophy (hold for 1 year) donated by Tom Warburton as part of his Duke Of Edinburgh Award. Reasonable entry prices; Double handers £10, Single handers £5 free tea & coffee on arrival. Other refreshments available to purchase from the Galley. – All entry fees donated to the R.N.L.I.

July 10th – Sunday ~ Tally Race
August 6th – Saturday ~ Open Day
September 4th – Sunday ~ Puffin Marathon
September 18th – Sunday ~ P1000 Open

The annual Conwy Tally Race. A very popular race enjoyed by all who take part. Coming up on Sunday Sept 4th The Round Puffin Race. Sunday Sept 18th the P1000 Marathon. And of course “Pen Push the Boat out day” for all who want to try Sailing or a Power Boat ride on Bank Holiday Sunday, Aug 28th.

Junior Gold Cup

Commodores Report

Penmaenmawr Sailing Club continued their Junior Gold Cup series of racing on Sunday the 22nd of May with another race in the series of ten races. Today’s course courses in the bay off Penmaenmawr took place in light winds which tested the juniors racing skills.

Patrol Boat – Mike and George Moss.
