Penmaenmawr Sailing Club’s Community Bonfire & Fireworks Musical Super Show went off with a bang despite the wet weather, on Saturday the 7th of November. Although umbrellas and raincoats were the order of the day, the Mayor and Consort of Penmaenmawr and around 800 people attended and watched the forty-five minute event held at the Club House on the promenade.
Club secretary Glenn Williams said “We were extremely lucky with the weather, although it did rain hard at times. A great big thanks to our sponsors including Penmaenmawr Town Council for their kind sponsorship of the event and all the club members and friends who volunteered their time and efforts during the day and evening”.
The Clubs Fundraising Officer, Gerry Frobisher said “The 45 minute Fireworks and Musical Show was really well attended, and I must thank Jim Rothnie of Brimstone Pyrotechnics from Manchester for co-ordinating the placing and setting off of the fireworks. Several hundred pounds was raised which will be put towards the Sailing Clubs Junior Section”.
